About me
Nathan Gallenson is a co-founder of DBT with Friends, a Utah-based nonprofit making evidence-based mental health skills more accessible, practical, and community-centered. He helps create peer-led spaces where people can learn tools from DBT, IFS, ACT, and other modalities without needing to be “fixed” before they belong.
Nathan’s work blends lived experience, nervous system literacy, creativity, humor, and a deep belief that healing is more joyful — and more sustainable — when we do it together. When he’s not helping build DBT with Friends, he can often be found slinging code for the man, overthinking a metaphor, or trying to make mental health skills feel a little less like homework and a little more like being human.
