Melanie is the co-founder of DBT with Friends and DBT with Witches, community-centered projects focused on making emotional wellness skills more accessible, creative, and human. Drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, ritual, and experiential learning, her work explores how emotional regulation and self-understanding can be practiced through connection, symbolism, creativity, and play.
With a background in peer support and community care, Melanie is passionate about helping people build practical tools for navigating intense emotions, relationships, overwhelm, and everyday life. Her workshops create welcoming, low-pressure spaces where participants can engage with mental health skills in ways that feel embodied, collaborative, and alive rather than clinical or intimidating.
